Meet the Artist

Hi, I’m Jackie! I’m a relatively new Seattle resident, but my love for the Pacific Northwest started a few years before I actually moved out here. I spent the summer of '21 in Oregon and completely fell in love with the PNW...the water, mountains, forests, and the fact that you can be surrounded by nature while being in a city.

After a few years landlocked in Colorado (and a somewhat winding path that included living abroad and digital nomadding for a year), I finally made my way back to the PNW. Moving here made me want to explore as much of it as I could, and naturally, art started coming along with me.

I’ve always loved both art and spending time in nature. I’d collect sea glass on the shore and turn it into mosaics, use water from the place I was painting to watercolor, press leaves I found on hikes into clay, and collect wildflowers on trail runs and turn them into resin jewelry.

Recently I realized there was a pattern: I wasn’t just making art inspired by places I loved...the places themselves were becoming part of my creations.

I spend a lot of my free time hiking, trail running, and paddle boarding - usually with some kind of art supplies tucked into my bag - so it’s been really fun seeing those parts of my life come together.

🐾 And the cat in the logo? That’s Luna! Her name means moon, so of course she made her way in. She serves as creative director, mostly from a nearby patch of sunlight.

Fun fact: one of the watercolors I painted while hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc is now hanging in one of the alpine huts along the trail :)
